In general, I like living in Dallas. I would like to see more infrastructure established with the growing population.
Dallas has a lot of parks. It makes going out for a nice picnic day very easy. They also have a lot of car washes so you can easily find one nearby. The restaurants are all really good and the service in stores are very good. Overall, Dallas has lovely people.
Paulding county has always struggled economically, schools have always been substandard, and county/city leaders have been corrupt, never had a vision for Dallas or the county, and been just plain stupid. They’ve wasted $75 million in lawsuits on failed airport projects, needless parks in the middle of nowhere, and God knows how much trying to bribe various companies to locate here just to be ghosted. Since Covid, crime has gotten worse and I’ve been seeing a lot more homeless in the area. Hiram is horrible with outdated roads and piles of garbage everywhere. Dallas is a small, dead town of mostly dilapidated shacks. Paulding County seems to have given up just doesn’t care. I see it in the attitudes of people here and it sucks. People here show no sense of pride or dignity in their behavior at all. Do yourself a favor and find a better suburb around Atlanta to move to. It’s more expensive but the improved quality of life is worth it. Or better yet, consider moving to another state.
