Current Resident: Overall, I have enjoyed my time in the Avenues. The location is extremely accessible to the rest of the city and freeway entrances. There are quite a few unique cafes, coffee shops, storefronts, and third spaces. I really appreciate how many people I see outside on a daily basis, either walking their pets, gardening, socializing, or generally just enjoying life. There are good schools, hospitals, and businesses in the neighborhood, and it seems like a very strong community. The only downsides I have experienced are cost of living and safety. Cost of living is more so a city-wide and state issue with mismatches in minimum wage than a neighborhood problem. When it comes to safety, though, I need to stay hypervigilant. My house is only a couple streets up from the main road, so we sometimes get some characters wandering into our complex. Current Resident: Out of all the cities I have lived in, Farmington truly is the best. Living right near the beautiful mountain provides a wonderful opportunity to go hiking, biking, and running. Current Resident: I am originally from Mexico and moved to Alpine 7 years ago. I enjoy walking around the neighborhoods of Alpine because they are very safe and family-friendly. They have different parks and on the holidays they decorate them with either Christmas lights or USA flags. Nearby Resident: Fruit Heights is a lovely neighborhood to live in. I have never felt unsafe in any aspect while living there. One of my favorite things about living in Fruit Heights was how close I was with all of my neighbors. From the moment I moved in I was instantly welcomed with open arms. It is a quieter city, but it is only 25 minutes away from Salt Lake City which has a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment. One thing that Fruit Heights definitely lacks is diversity. Current Resident: Bountiful may not be full of night-life, but it is a beautiful place to settle down. It is a great place for families, with several really great schools from elementary to high school that offer great opportunities for children and teens. Hiking trails are just minutes away, so you are never too far from nature and wildlife. Then if you feel like going to the city, you are only ever 30 minutes from Salt Lake City or Farmington to go shopping with friends at the open-concept malls. Bountiful also has a few great parks to visit to play with your dogs or family. The streets are always safe, and your neighbors are always friendly and up for conversation. Current Resident: I just moved here at the beginning of my senior year and I am absolutely loving it so far. As soon as the moving truck pulled in we had selfless, happy neighbors swarming the whole place. They gave us a very warm welcome and helped us unload both moving trucks faster than we ever would have been able to on our own . One of the local church leaders even brought doughnuts and chocolate milk. Cache valley is one of a kind with charming people and buildings. It's a place that truly feels like home. It's breathtaking views have had me in awe as well and I have been bathing in school spirit and attending more sporting events and parties than ever before.
