I have lived in Abilene for about 13 years or so and I feel like it's decent if u want to raise a family here. The cost of living is average and the traffic is not bad what so ever. I can normally make it to work within 5-10 min so it's pretty easy to travel around town. The things I would like to see change about Abilene would be for the town to have more attractions for families and just more things to do in general. I want to see Abilene grow!

I enjoy the day to day life here in Abilene, TX. The commute time is unprecedented. I can get to school or work in less then 15 minutes. The rush hour traffic is like regular traffic in a larger town, not a bother. There are several parks for children to play, although none are anything special. The weather in the spring and fall is upper 80's, which is nice. The summer is extremely unbearable, 110 usually. The winter months can go either way. We have some very mild winters and others shut down the entire town for days on end. The city Abilene doesn't believe in being prepared for inclement weather. If it snows or freezes, the town is closed for business. Abilene also doesn't have a drainage system, the town floods every time it rains.

I like Abilene weather, sociability and care for all around in my city. How the children are treated in schools, in the doctors'office for they check up days, and I can't forget the elderly that the are in good hands everywhere they are, in day care, hospices and even in their home , the store markets of Abilene are on good range of sanitary and clean, I can't tell how our schools are looking so good and all administration office they are full of care. And to many more things that are inspiring people come to visit Abilene. Social media is on good condition and even security.
