I enjoy the parks and nearby campsites, wildlife reservations and hiking trails as well as the many many parks in town. Unfortunately there is a lack of sidewalks along many main roads and in neighborhoods, and the sidewalks that are there need to be cleared of rocks and roadside debris more often. Beautiful scenery and landscaping.
Ammon is friendly, calm yet semi-busy (as a small town would be), right next to Idaho Falls, and has a short commute to jobs in both Ammon and Idaho Falls (or nearby smaller towns).
Great small town, though it is growing fast. Many very kind and giving people here. Ammon has a great balance of nature and city.
Ammon is a community that is part of the Greater Idaho Falls Area. It is close to a variety of stores and shopping and has good options for schools. The people tend to be conservative and religious and the cultural opportunities are on par for the size of the population of the area.
It is a great place to live. It has small town values with all the big city commodities. It is a great place to raise a family.
I used to live in a small town that didn't have any entertainment spots and only had two old runs down restaurants. I lived about 15 minutes away from a town called Idaho Falls/Ammon, where there was more to do and more places to eat. Fifteen minutes wasn't too bad of a drive, but sometimes when I'm driving home late from being in town, it seems like a longer ride. I also worked 30 minutes away from home. After moving into Ammon, it was nice to be in a more social and lively environment as well as being closer to work. It made things so much easier for me. At night time though, it can get busy and more reckless drivers come out. The niegborhood I live in does have some issues. Houses have been broken into, someones dog got shot, and trailers have been stoled but the neighbores are very nice and inviting when my family and I first moved in.
It’s a very family friendly town, there is always something to do for all ages. It’s a very LDS friendly town as well.
It's a very friendly and quiet area. It's been really easy for our family to settle in and being close to Rexburg has made it easy to keep close while we're still in school.
I like the location of the town, and how small it is, I really enjoy the businesses. I would really recommend this town to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet and the small town experience.
Ammon has become a very nice and developed town. Tons of businesses, and very friendly people. Finding something to do can be a challenge sometimes after its all already been done.
Ammon is a very nice town with great friendly neighbors that will watch over our things while we are gone. Most of the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful will very little in disturbances because most of the people that live here are older. The city takes care of its roads and makes sure everything is clear during the winter time. The only thing that has become an issue is the water and sewer bills. They are higher than any other area around and are going to start limiting the water usage which is crazy since we have plenty of water in the reservoirs.
I love living here. Its small town meets bigger city. It has everything to meet your needs but still low crime
It's a great little town, next to Idaho Falls that has nice little restaurants, and a movie theater. We got a Cabela's two years ago which was cool.
It has pretty much any place you would want to shop at and it isn't a huge city so traffic isn't bad. It is right off the interstate and it's close to Yellowstone National Park and lots of other outdoor opportunities.
Clean and respectable community. The city of Ammon is always do something to improve our lives. Great for small families who want a jump start in life.
Ammon is a very family friendly place. I have felt completely safe during my time here. It is connected closely to Idaho Falls, which is a great place for all of your shopping and entertainment needs. It's a great place for a family to come and live an active life!
I have lived here for almost 6 years now and have become friends with so many in town. There are fun things to do in town and also outside of town as a teenager. Also the school systems are not terrible and I have learned some very valuable things from some excellent teachers.
