Not a densely populated area, yet within short distance of some major areas. Lots of historical locations nearby as well, such as Gettysburg, Hagerstown, Antietam, and others. Depending on your exact location, you can get some of that smaller town feel, yet you don't feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.

I grew up here and love it!

All of the local businesses in my area are mom and pop shops. Everyone in them is very friendly. There are also a variety of shops for everything you need, from automotive repairs to jewelry stores. If those stores don't have what you need, a Walmart is 10 minutes down the road.

I have not had a problem with crime in Greencastle. I haven't really heard about any crime that's gone on either, however there is a lot of crime in the surrounding areas and towns.
