Most of the businesses in Augusta are family owned. There is a family owned and operated IGA. In addition, we have a small, privately owned, General Store, hardware store, pharmecy, and retail shop. Nearly every business in Augusta is small and privately owned.

Most people either work at the Clopay factory or at one of the two schools in Augusta. However, some own their own businesses.
