Employment at Austin: Employment in Austin is pretty good. We have a lot of big corporations and companies based here which are very successful. Most people in Austin are satisfied with their jobs and earnings. It is a nice place to live.
    • 5
Local Businesses at Austin: Austin TX is the best place to live! We have a grocery store/ pharmacy called HEB which is only within Texas and is by far the best of its kind. We have 6th street which has the life of the party and we have pretty much every store you can think of. The neighborhoods are very safe and the people in Austin are lively and fun. We keep Austin weird!
    • 3
Outdoors at Austin: There are lots of parks, and the city does a lot of volunteer work to upkeep them. There is a lot of open space for hunting, camping, etc. The pollution is not horrible, but noticeable.
    • 3
Public Services at Austin: The traffic in this area is very bad; rush hour lasts 3 hours twice a day, so it is very difficult to commute to a job, or even go shopping after work. Local representatives do some things to improve circumstances, but they focus on areas that don't matter while ignoring real issues.
    • 3
Crime & Safety at Austin: There is not a lot of crime in my area, but I do not see police very much except for on the highway.
