Overall, this town is a good place to live. It is small, but not small enough where everyone knows everyones' business. There are not many places for entertainment, but it is only 10 minutes from L.B.I so that is always a perk! It is partially a beach town in that some of the town lives on the water. Another part possess a Downtown area where many historic landmarks are.

Barnegat was much nicer when we moved here in 2000. But with the housing market in a slump, after being infated for years, there are more renters. There is not as much pride taken in the care of homes and yards when the residents don't own the property.
The drug problem, which used to be isolated to a very small area, is now a problem everywhere in Barnegat. The saddest part is that most of the offenders are children.

Environment is pretty quiet for the most part .When talking about educational purposes the schools a bit consistent on making sure children comprehend conflicting material. As for living ,mostly everyone is friendly around and able to get along with.
