The safety is pretty good here. The police are always around and respond quickly when called! There hadn't been any crime in the area until just last week when there was a shooting in an apartment complex by Wal-Mart. Besides that, crime activity here is low.

Bastrop is a small town, but you can do a lot here! The movie theatre is popular among both the young and the old! Overall, the atmosphere is good here. There are a lot of nice people, but of course there's always going to be some rude ones too.

Quaint, unique and growing town. People are very friendly and housing is affordable, for now. Austin is only 30 minutes away.
