I live in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. This area is surrounded by a plethora of outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and hunting. The backdrop for all these activities is absolutely breathtaking.

This town is small, however it's located between several big areas with lots to do. We are close to Asheville, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley.

We have many small businesses in our town. They may not be the most high class business, but they are far from the worst. We do not have hardly any retail stores. There is a Goodwill and a few consignment shops, but if you were wanting new, brand name clothes you would have about a thirty minute drive to the nearest mall. Fast food restaurants are on every corner you see in Canton. We call it Fast Food USA. There aren't very many sit down restaurants at all. There are plenty of drug stores, grocery stores, and auto repair shops. The only thing hard to come by in Canton would be sit down restaurants and retail stores.
