The transportation in my area is influenced greatly by the amount of tourism to the beaches. Often, the beach traffic will be so bad that it will double travel time, especially over bridges. However, there are decent modes of public transportation and plenty of opportunities for self-powered methods of transport, as there are plentiful busing systems and extremely safe and beautiful walking paths and bike lanes.

The outdoors in my area are often also kept up in order to cater to the frequent tourism- everything is perfectly landscaped, wildlife and parks are abundant, and there are endless activities, particularly water-related, available for participation in the outdoors.

The weather in Florida is often too warm, and the seasons rarely change- but this is exchanged for dry, pleasant winters and sunny days early on in the year perfect for beachgoing. In the summer, however, there are thunderstorms nearly every afternoon and hurricane season brings with it the threat of losing the siding on one's house.
