Bellevue feels very safe. Granted, there was a burglary in my neighborhood recently, but the police response time is stellar. They were here within maybe 4 or 5 minutes and they already had leads as to who the perpetrators were. Additionally, I constantly see police vehicles cruising up and down the streets, at least 1 each day I drive. The officers seem to be friendly and professional from the encounters I have heard of. Bellevue feels like a safe suburb, without having a sleepy small town attitude. Police are vigilant and highly visible.

I am a city girl, I'm used to a lot of diversity. Bellevue lacks that diversity, there is majority of one demographic here. Very one sided when it comes to ethnic salons, or food stores. You need to drive at least 20 mins just to find certain things. If you are used to diversity I wouldn't recommended living here. On a lighter note the cost of living in Bellevue is rather cheap compared to living in a city. There is more land and house for your money.

We are the midwest with lots of job opportunities. We have a lot to do in the metro area. The people are friendly and helpful. That is a good reason for remaining in the area. I would however choose to move elsewhere. I would like to see the world and how other people live in other cities, states, countries. I would give my area a high five! It is excellent!
