Biddeford pool is a great area to live in. It is far enough away from downtown that you don't feel like you're in Biddeford and close enough in case you need to run to the store. The ocean is literally steps away from where I live, which is wonderful for me because I can't live in an area that isn't close to the beach. I would absolutely recommend living in this area, and would stay here for quite sometime if I was able to.

There are a lot of big name companies in the area such as Target, Walmart, Home Depot Etc. Downtown there are some shops for trinkets and clothes. Just like you would find in any town. Also major restaurants such as Panera, Olive Garden, Amatos and the 99 are in the area. Some good local laces to eat. There's a good breakfast place downtown. Also buffleheads out on hills beach is good and has a beachy vibe. You are able to get anything you may need from Shaw's Market basket or Hannafords, CVS, Rite Aid etc. Easy access to anything you may need.

Downtown Biddeford is not the nicest place. It's pretty dingy, although there is a lot of shopping available. Head towards hills beach and Biddeford Pool and Fortunes Rock and its much nicer. Very beautiful beaches and beach homes. Close to Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Saco and Portland. Known for the college in the area.
