Bloomington is a college town with a great atmosphere, good foood. The university campus is beautiful! Great place to live! There are many interesting international restaurants, so that you can get a taste of the world without leaving your backyard. Bloomington is a great place for outdoorsy people. There are numerous bike trails and parks that allow you to enjoy nature. Overall beautiful small town with college atmosphere.

The benefit to this area is that it is relatively close to everything. Walking distance is key for this area. The police station and fire station are all extremely close. The grocery, entertainment and night life are all in walking distance! Unfortunately the area is slightly sketchy. We have had an increase in crime rates since I moved in in the beginning of August. The future of this area may not be all that great. College students will continue to rent which might continue the increase in crime.

Bloomington is a college town with an immediate welcoming feel. People here are friendly, nice, and family oriented, living up to the midwest reputation! I have received nothing but warmth from nearly everyone I've encountered, from restaurant staff to neighbors and strangers alike!
