Blue Point, NY is a small town where everybody knows everybody. It's a quiet, comfortable town right on the water, perfect for raising a family. The school system is great with teachers that really know what they're doing, and have a passion for teaching. Everything you ever need feels right next door, and isn't hard to get to. The area is incredibly safe. The only downsides to Blue Point is it's very expensive to live in, and there's not much of a nightlife (the whole town gets dim around 10pm). However, living in the area for 18 years, there's nowhere else I can think of to rather call home!

This is a great area to bring up kids. The beach is nearby and library has great programs. I would choose this area again if my financial situation would allow it. I see this area as a great place my only concerns is that it's only getting more expensive.

Crime and Safety in this area is ok, we do get break in's. I feel safe most of the time. I have not been robbed but my neighbor has, so I am always watching. I don't see police often but they come fast if I call.
