Boulder City is a small town with a lot of travelers who wonder in on their trip to the Hoover dam. It's a very close knit community. If I go to the one of three stores in the area, it's extremely likely that I will run into someone I know. The community is definitely supportive but there also is a general feel of conservativeness that isn't really my cup of tea. I'm planning on leaving as soon as possible, but it was a great place to live for a while.

There are a lot of great outdoor activities in the area. There is a national park nearby with swimming, fishing, boating, and camping opportunities. There are not any winter activities because the weather is too warm. There are tons of nice parks in the neighborhoods.

I had to relocation to southern Nevada for my job. This has put a major strain on my educational goals. I would rather live in a cooler and wetter climate. I like trees and green landscape and do not find that here. The atmosphere is good overall. I would rank this area low compared to other areas where I have resided.
