Gardendale is a warm and friendly city, convenient to the Birmingham city center. We have a great school system with many of our teachers having grown up in the community. Over the past few years, more young families have moved into the area, creating diversity and pride. We have a great network of churches that allow families many choices and great support systems. We have some of the best parks and recreational areas in the county, most available free of charge to our residents. Youth programs abound and Senior services are top rated. It's a great community that truly cares for its citizens.

Gardendale is a very good city to live in because of the community. Most of the people are friendly. Also, there is every type of fast food restaurant that you could want. Friday night games are so much fun and it is a time for the community to come together to support the team. There is nice, big high school that was recently built a couple of years ago. The city of Gardendale has almost everything you could want and is just a couple of minutes from the great city of Birmingham.

Most of crime in our area comes from outsiders and consists of DUI's, shoplifting and writing bad checks to businesses. There is very little crime for a town of our size. The streets are safe and we don't worry about walking, riding bikes or our children playing outside.
