Houston is a great city to not only visit but to also live in. Houston is a very big and diverse city that has tons of things to offer to anyone. Anyone looking to find top medical universities or even a very diverse university, Houston has the right university for them. Houston has a very safe and friendly environment. Everyone here knows each other and has plenty of wonderful neighborhoods. There are also tons of job opportunities in Houston to offer anyone who is looking to find a new job. No one can forget the famous Houston Rodeo! The most famous eventhe where everyone from across the United States travel to either witness or participate in the rodeo. Houston is a large metropolis in Texas that everyone should one day come visit.

The city of Houston has grown so much! People are getting out more because of the amazing improvements in our parks. Large groups of people come together to participate in ourdoor activities as simple as riding bikes. The city hosts activities throughout the week for adults and children such as yoga, Zumba or creative writing courses free of charge. Not to mention there are ethnic, music and art festivals going on all the time. If you're a foodie, there are so many interesting resturants and local food trucks to find, either hidden away or in plain sight. In this city, there is always something to do and new interesting places to discover!

I have come to Houston, Texas from Manhattan, Kansas which is a significantly smaller place. That being said the size of Houston alone is enough to make one's mouth hang wide open. There is so much more to do and see here. From the Gardens to the outdoor theaters, there is so much here that I have yet to discover. I love being able to experience the food truck scene here, that is one thing that we don't have in The Little Apple. I enjoy walking down the street and seeing people riding their horses in traffic like it's no big deal! Back home that would never happen, well it might happen, but only as a part of a parade or something controlled by the city. There seems to be so much freedom here and so much life. I would highly recommend Houston, Texas as a destination to visit or to settle down in.
