Houston is a fantastic city to live in. It's fast growing, incredibly diverse, and rich in arts and culture. There are lots of nice suburbs on the outskirts of the city and always something to do. Houston only has one real downside which is traffic. Public transportation is negligible, though it is improving. You have to have a car here and it's going to take a beating. The highways are in a constant state of construction. The positives far outweigh the negatives though. Houston is a city on the rise that anyone would enjoy calling home.

I've currently been living in Houston 7 years now and two years attending school here. The city is nice, the night scene is amazing. The people are a little stubborn, but it's expected due to the multi culture. The roads could be a lot better! And the draining system. Over the pasted three years my car has been flooded twice !!!

I have lived in Houston for the past 17 years and i've loved every second of it.I have lived in Houston for the past 17 years and I’ve loved every second of it. Houston offers the best jobs, high ranking schools, diversity, most dynamic and diverse food and a friendly environment. While living in Houston, I have felt as if I’m a part of something bigger, a family, the community is very active and there are also numerous volunteer experiences provided to us by the city. The houses here are extremely cheap compared to other popular cities such as New York and Los Angeles.

I've been living in Houston for the past eight years. I love everything about the city; it's really is very diverse. I see a lot of things that have changed within the city in the short amount of years I have been here from the overnight building of homes and schools, to the boom in the economy. I think that Houston is an excellent place to live it's a very beautiful city to live in.

I have come to Houston, Texas from Manhattan, Kansas which is a significantly smaller place. That being said the size of Houston alone is enough to make one's mouth hang wide open. There is so much more to do and see here. From the Gardens to the outdoor theaters, there is so much here that I have yet to discover. I love being able to experience the food truck scene here, that is one thing that we don't have in The Little Apple. I enjoy walking down the street and seeing people riding their horses in traffic like it's no big deal! Back home that would never happen, well it might happen, but only as a part of a parade or something controlled by the city. There seems to be so much freedom here and so much life. I would highly recommend Houston, Texas as a destination to visit or to settle down in.

I have lived in Houston since I was 7. I moved here from Dallas, Texas which is a nice city, but was a smaller. Houston has so much to offer. I never noticed how diverse Houston is until I graduated high school. After high school I began to explore the city its beauty, and its diversity. To be able to live in the most diverse cities in America is amazing. I wish everyone could privileged enough to experience the spirit of a Houstonian.

Houston is great when it come to going out. There are a lot of places to eat and have fun. A few examples of places to go include: The museum of Natural Science/Fine Arts, the Zoo, the rodeo in the spring, the football and soccer games. When it comes to food and people you'll find that it's a completely diverse place. In almost every corner you can find different cultural food places like authentic Asian/Hispanic/restaurants. This all sounds nice, but I do have a few complaints. First the educational system could be improved. It seems like the schools only care about standardize testing and not the actual learning in the classrooms. Second, when it comes to house burglary nothing is ever done. Third the roads are always congested and broken.

In the past 7 years that I live in Houston, It have changed a lot, they have build couple major highway and freeway to help the traffic's problems in the city. Houston is the place that have many different ethnics live and work in the city, which it: White, African American, Hispanic, and Asian. Oil field and Health Industry is the majority field in Houston, provided thousands jobs every year.
Houston has a good education system; they have many different schools and campus for you to choose. It has many choices for you to entertains, without drive hours to different cities.
The only thing I would like to change in Houston is Traffic, in the last couple years many people from different states move to Texas, and specially Houston; and that lead Houston have a horrible traffic, you can stuck in your car up to an hour in the heavy traffic time. And the second thing is the drain system of the city, if the rain take 3-5 hours none stop, the city will get flood.

What I like about Houston is the diverse culture it has. There are many museums to check out and restaurants to try. One of my favorite museums is the natural science museum, and art museum. The art museum is also free every first Thursday of the month, so it's both a nice place to go for the art work and saving a little money. There is a plethora of restaurants in the area; one of my favorite being Les Grivals. Les Grivals menu consists of Vietnamese dishes like Pho and Banh mi. I wouldn't change a thing about this city, and I encourage others to explore it.

What I liked about Houston is it's access train rail. The rail was very convenient, it will take you almost over the whole city. Seating is comfortable and the ride is smooth.

I was born and raised in Houston. The city has became a tourist attraction. They are constantly building entertainment areas and upscale high rises. The 2017 super bowl will be here as well. Not to mention, 2016 March Madness was here last year. The city is a fast past growing environment. I love the trees and views of the architecture downtown. The Metro rail has expanded across the greater parts of Houston so you don't have to drive and park for major events and games.

I like that when I moved to Houston in 2008 I was able to find a job within 1 month. The people here are welcoming and definitely provides southern hospitality. The weather is just something that I have had to get use to because it is always hot. They have lots of events such as concerts, festivals and my all time favorite the yearly Texas Rodeo. The Houston zoo is lovely and so is the NASA museum. There is so many things to do for adults and kids. Since I have kids and coming from Los Angeles, Ca I like that the schools that my children attend, the teachers seem to care about the wellbeing and education of the kids they teach. They express concern, give advice and encouragement to their students. My overall experience have been great and I will definitely recommmend the city of Houston for someone who is looking for better opportunities for their family.

Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the world and almost the fastest growing. The people are friendly, the restaurants are world-class, and the arts scene is only surpassed by New York. This is definitely the place to be. The cost of living is superb and so are the schools all levels. You can't beat the universities, especially Rice who consistently rates as one of the best Ivy League values in the country.

Great place to stay! It doesn't feel as big as it is and there's a lot to do here! It is the home of the biggest medical center in the world and has a good selection of parks, museums, and restaurants. The traffic gets a little crazy sometimes, but what big city doesn't have traffic. It's also pretty affordable compared to other big cities. Overall great place to live!

Houston is a very Diverse place and there are many friendly people here. I love how everything is so close in the downtown area. You can walk from place to place and never get bored. The thing I highly dislike is the amount of traffic there is in the morning on my way to school and in the afternoon on my way home. Also, the amount of pollution Houston has due to factories, vehicles, etc.
