Petworth Reviews

Petworth offers the best of both worlds: its largely residential environment makes it great for families, but it’s connected enough to be convenient for those who need or want easy access to the rest of DC. People care very deeply about the neighborhood. Whether it’s by chance or by selection, being an active citizen seems almost like a prerequisite to live here. It is among the most diverse neighborhoods in the city, helped in part by rapid gentrification that’s imparted new businesses and economic development. Unfortunately, it’s also brought rising house prices and predatory developers as well. At the moment, however, there is just enough of old and new to retain the community oriented nature for which it’s always been known. I’ve loved living here and hope to continue to do so for many years to come.
Nice neighborhood. The small local restaurants are really nice. Transportation is easy to use. Very diverse.
Love Petworth, it's lively Georgia ave./Petworth metro is here (obviously). No matter what time it is you will always see ppl walking around. The gentrification going on is crazy and unfortunate but it is a beautiful diverse neighborhood.
