The atmosphere is great. It is a good neighborhood, quiet, relatively close to most shopping centers. It's miles away from the strip, but close enough to drive to. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely choose to live in Summerlin. Las Vegas weather may be a bit dry and hot during the summer but it is only a 4 hour drive away from the beach. There's also a lot less traffic than California or bigger and busier states!

Pretty much everyone who lives there is friendly & family-oriented. It's the area of Las Vegas that I feel the most safe in. Everything you need is in relatively close distance & the shops are all high quality. It has some of the top public schools in town & many job opportunities for high school & college students as well as law firms & businesses for qualified individuals with degrees. Since it is such a family-oriented area, there is no real nightlife scene but the drive to the strip is only about 20 minutes. However, the cost of houses makes it an area filled with predominantly white, upper-middle class Americans who own businesses & law firms which makes the area lack diversity. Many neighborhoods were also built essentially for short term renting & are not built too well. This is an issue for families who want to live in a nice area with good schools but cannot afford to buy the nicer homes in the area. Overall, it is a very safe area with relatively good schools and people.

The atmosphere in Summerlin is great! With aesthetically pleasing housing, businesses, and scenery it is a beautiful place to live. It is a friendly area of town and I would live here over any other place in Las Vegas. With new additions to the area such as malls and apartments it might bring more people to the once quiet area.
