Newton, Massachusetts is a safe, family-oriented city just 5 miles outside of Boston. Due to it's safety, and it's stellar public schools, it is incredibly expensive to live here. The median cost for a home in Newton is over 1 million dollars!
I work as a teacher's aide here and although it's an outstanding public school system, there's practically no diversity when it comes to the educators. I still love working here; I just wish there were more people of color on staff.
Overall Newton, Massachusetts is a great place to work, live and go to school, and I'm fortunate for the opportunity to work here.

Despite the extreme temperatures in New England, I love it here. One particular thing I like about this area is our reservoir. People are able to exercise with friends and family and enjoy the lovely view-- especially during sunrise and sunset!

Working on Newton can be extremely rewarding and at times mind-numbingly demeaning. The community is hyper-critical of the organizations and schools but fight for safety above all else, redeeming is critical nature towards others.
