Nearby Resident: I lived in Summersville for 21 years, in that time I saw it grow with leaps and bounds. A major 4 lane highway brought tremendous amounts traffic thru. Many restaurants and other businesses were created due to this. This brought many jobs and a community college. Current Resident: The City of Bridgeport is a wonderful and safe place to live. Very little crime and the community is clean and nice to people of all ages. We have so many wonderful opportunities within the youth, jobs, and recreational life. With having all these amazing activities to take part in, I wish our public transportation was more vibrant and accessible. Nevertheless, most family do own cars here and public transportation is no where near a necessity. Current Resident: I spent the first 5 years and 7 months of my life in Culloden, which is a small, unincorporated town in West Virginia being raised by my parents in the same house my mother was raised in and lived beside my maternal grandmother. My family moved to a near-by town and we spent the next 13 years there and now I live in Culloden again with my mother. Culloden is a town that has no stop lights and a slow-paced life-style. It is mostly a residential town and only has a hand full of businesses and an elementary school, which my mother and I attended. Culloden doesn't have fancy buildings or stores and that's what makes it special. It is located on the outskirts of bigger cities such as Huntington and Charleston and those cities can be accessed in no time at all and offer many stores, businesses and restaurants. It would be nice; however, if Culloden had a small library, a few mom and pop restaurants and a park that children and adults of all ages could enjoy.... Read 2 reviews

Current Resident: My family friendly town in the Midwest is clean, safe and fun to live in. We are centrally located to be within a 3 hour drive of 5 major cities in 3 states. People walk their dogs and say hi when passing on the street. There are parks, skate parks, theatres, a mall, great hunting and fishing spots, the Ohio River provides space for boating or kayaking on the water and the people are good people. Former Resident: My parents moved me there when I was in 3rd grade. Now grown and married with kids of my own, I only wished we could raise them there like I had been. It was the place and people that shaped me. Small town vibe with some celebrities around occasionally with the greenbrier and greenbrier classic. Such a down to earth community! When my parents lost their home in the flood of 2015 the comuniity and churches stepped up! It usually doesn’t flood in that area and should not stop one from wanting to move there. Last flood happened over 1,000 years ago. Check out 50 east dining owned by Jerry West if your there or the mason jar! Great places to eat! Current Resident: I grew up about 20 minutes from the city of Princeton in a town called Montcalm. I married my high-school sweetheart in 2017 and moved to Jacksonville, NC while he was in the Marines. We moved back in 2020 to be closer to family. While Jacksonville wasn't bad to live in, it lacked the southern hospitality I grew up with. The city is full of people from all over the country, and many different social standards. The community here is very kind and generous. When my parents house burned down in 2019 after my fathers heart attack, the community came together for them. Within a week, they were in a new home with a discounted rent. The community came together and completely furnished the house, and provided all the essentials. My two sisters were underaged and still living with my parents, and people who never met us took them on shopping sprees to replace their clothes and necessities. Current Resident: I live in a very rural area where we have a local university, Glenville State University, many small businesses run by local owners and many sports complexes. With our University bringing in 2,000 people, more than double of the entire town population. With these young scholars living on campus, they supply all the local businesses with customers 24/7. Current Resident: I do recommend coming to Moundsville to see sight seeing and attractions that we have in the town. We have a Penitentiary and other places that is super old and now used for people to come see and learn the history. We also have a mound and even a camping place. I love my friends that I have made here. We even have a small zoo near by this area it is at Oglbay. Also you can sight see at Grand View Park where it is always clean and the staff is great. Also we have a great Ice cream stand in town that is called Snow Blizz. I love the animals and lots of great mentors here. Current Resident: The things I would like to see change in this community is more activities for kids to do. There is only one pool, but you have to have a membership to attend. Also, having more places, especially inside, for athletes or anyone to be able to play basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, football, softball. They have built new elementary and middle school age schools but have only added on to the high school. The high school is completely maxed out and not big enough for the number of students they have. Current Resident: Belle is like Mayberry was on Andy Griffith . If you're looking for a place to raise a family . There are lots of Churches , schools , restaurants, a Walmart, Dollar General , gas station/convience stores. It's a place near lots of outdoor activity ( Hunting , fishing , hiking , 4wheeler, dirtbike, mountain biking, mud bogging, camping. You can walk to all of these activities From most of Belle. You are also, close to a major Chemical plant ( the reason for the towns existence) which is not as busy as it used to be when it was E.I.Dupont, a major employer of the town.
