Great! I live in the surrounding area and still have family located in Sacramento. The atmosphere is very diverse with a multitude of ethnic foods. The possible downside is the cost of living and heavy traffic on the freeways. Fishing opportunities are plentiful as rivers, ponds, and lakes are abundant.

I rated my area as great, because I love it. Nowhere else ever feels like home. Also, when I'm traveling I'm always comparing it to my area and I always choose it as the better choice. I wouldn't say it's the best because at times I get tired of the same places and same things, but we're human and we need to experience new things. Overall, my area is great because of its location and the many stores and restaurants we have to offer. It's called the city of trees for a reason!

I just moved to Sacramento California, about a year ago; I live in the Arden area. The cost of living is pretty cheap and affordable compared to other neighboring cities or other tourist cities like San Francisco. Sacramento itself is a pretty busy city since it is the capitol. This however results in tons of traffic, so avoiding the freeways during rush hour can save a ton of time. Often times there can even be traffic on the streets. Aside from the traffic Sacramento is a nice place to live. The poverty line in the area is pretty much either hit or miss, you either live in the good part of Sacramento or the bad part, assuming you have somewhere to live. Due to the extreme poverty there are a lot more homeless people as compared to other cities surrounding it. The good part is that there are a lot of police in the area, who you usually see driving around often. It makes the area seem safer.
