Great city, great, real people; truly love this city. Unfortunately, plenty of recent gentrification, and whitening of historically Chicano and Black communities. Also, police union recently updated their contract with the city, effectively relieving them of accountability toward grievances and complaints. The governed are fantastic, the governing subpar, unless you're white and middle class, in this historically Brown city.

Since moving to San Antonio, my life is greatly enriched! From the culture, and the food, down to the family oriented community, this city reminds me of home - Troy, Alabama.

What I like most about San Antonio is the variety in neighborhoods and culture. It's a big city with a small town feel. We have sea world, six flags, an amazing NBA team, and yet a very affordable cost of living. There is a limited threat to natural disaster, and while not the safest city in America, there are plenty of safe neighborhoods on the north side of town. I would definitely recommend living here, if you don't mind the heat.
