Crime & Safety at San Marcos: The police here at Texas State are very responsive and helpful whenever there is a problem. I have not encountered any reports of crimes being committed on or around campus yet, however, if they do occur it is not major.

Overall Experience at San Marcos: My overall living experience in San Marcos, TX has been great due to the layout of the city, ample amount of transportation to and from campus, and youthful atmosphere that energizes this city. The area has many events and natural attractions to enrich the flourishing population of people here. Texas State University is one of the main reasons this area continues to exhibit growth due to more students choosing this campus as their home.Over other college campuses, I would rather choose to live here again due to the vast amount of beauty that comes from the natural aspects of our community such as, the San Marcos river. The future of this town is bright especially, because the people realize that the natural aspects of the environment is what brings in more students to the Texas State campus, which generates revenue to support this great city.

Crime & Safety at San Marcos: I don't worry a lot about my safety but there is a lot of petty crime. My car was broken into one time, thankfully nothing important was stolen.
