I love San Marcos, "San Marvelous"! Beautiful spring fed river flowing through the middle of town. Great People, great restaurants, bars, and outdoor spaces. Home to the Texas State Bobcats, eat em' up cats! Texas State University is quite predominant in the community. Family friendly place but summers are the best when the students leave. 25 Minutes south of the state capital, Austin. 25 Minutes north of San Antonio. Within minutes to the pastor west you will find yourself in the country. Up and coming city of Central Texas, the place to be. Only complaint is the property prices are continually rising making it less affordable to the families that live here rather than the renters.

I love this area ! It is full of excitement and adventure among the college students that I live with! Everyone here has the same dream and goals, we are all here to receive an education to better our lives for the future. The community is great with a lot of students of the campus who are apart of the Greek life participating in community service and so much more that brightens this community and area up! There are a variety of events that are hosted during school and school breaks to bring positive vibes to the students who sometimes are stressed over school and or always studious. San Marcos is a very fast growing city I see an amazing place for this in the future and also a great place where people can experience the college "life".

This place is great! The only thing that sucks is all the construction, and the flooding. The flooding is awful. Cancelling class because of flooding is pretty cool, but roads being blocked off or evacuating isn't that cool. I know there's nothing they can do about that, so really there's nothing they should change.
