Crime & Safety at South Bend: I have never experienced any sort of crime over the last 10 years of living there.

Overall Experience at South Bend: I very much enjoy living in this particular neighborhood. It is very kid and pet friendly and was a perfect place for me to grow up. I would most definitely consider purchasing my own home there.

Crime & Safety at South Bend: I haven't paid much attention to the crime in this area (because I haven't been involved in it) so it hasn't seemed like an alarming problem to me. I have, however, seen multiple reports on the news so it is still very much happening.

Overall Experience at South Bend: Despite the depressing atmosphere South Bend gives off, it is a pretty nice place to grow up in. There are many different options for schools, jobs, and neighbourhoods. Granted, there are some less lovely areas, but all around I'd say it's in pretty good shape. This city is a great place to grow up, but get out when you can. I really appreciate the action the city is taking to try and spruce the city up and I think if they keep heading in that direction that maybe one day this city can be great.

Overall Experience at South Bend: I like my neighborhood. I feel safe enough to ride my bike alone in the warmer months. There are two parks, so it is very family-friendly. I have never had an unpleasant neighbor; most people are either older or couples with young children. Everyone is friendly and says "Hello." My area is a safe space compared to the surrounding area. If one were to drive south or east of us, the area quickly becomes run-down. I am very fortunate to have grown up in an area that has not been plagued with drugs or violence.
