This area, western Massachusetts, is my favorite place I have ever lived. It is quiet enough that the crime rate is low and I can still see the stars at night, but lively enough that there is ALWAYS something going on on the weekends. This area has a thriving local music scene, up and coming restaurants, and a very politically-active and community-oriented populace. I would love to raise a family here.

It's quiet, but has enough activities going on that life stays interesting. I would love to live here again. I think the college helps sustain this town, so I think it will be the same as long as the college stays the same, and improve as the college improves.

We are a small town so there is not much out there, however we do have Mt. Holyoke College but the college life is mainly toward lesbians seeing it is an only girls school and if you are looking for good night life there is the village commons but that is about it. We are not a party town and our cops are very strict, people here can be snooty, or they can be very nice. We have one generally rich area and we have a poor area but the town mainly consists of decent middle class citizens.
