Food & Drink at Main South: In terms of dining, Worcester is surprisingly great, for both cheap and high end places. There are many trendy New American lounge/bar dining type restaurants. There are two things that are lacking in Worcester: clubs, and 24 hour diners.
    • 2
Employment at Main South: Most people who earn a decent living are either professional staff at the many universities in Worcester, or they commute to Boston. Everyone else seems to have some sort of low income blue collar job. There are no paid tutoring jobs available for college students. There are very few coffee shops in the entire city, and while that sounds specific that is a big effect in terms of employing the youth.

Local Businesses at Main South: The immediate Main South area of Worcester leaves much to be desired. Most of it is cheap Asian or Latino restaurants, and many mom and pop type barber shops and bodega stores. The larger Worcester/Shrewsbury area is better in terms of great restaurants and bars. I would enjoy more businesses like Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Wegman's, IKEA, etc. In addition, there doesn't seem to be any higher end electronics stores, such as Best Buy or the Apple Store. In terms of clothing, the nearby Blackstone Mall has a variety of selections.

Local Businesses at College Hill and Quinsigamond: El Patron ! Real authentic Mexican food.

Public Services at College Hill and Quinsigamond: I'm really not sure what I can say about public services. The police and fire departments are responsive and arrive quickly, police officers seem to take a bit longer vs the fire department but they do work very hard! I think the we need a lot of political change around here!
